Overview

Choosing the floor is the first step. Installation is what makes it last.

Whether you’re redoing one room or the whole house, we prepare the subfloor properly and install each floor with care.

In our damp climate, moisture matters. Wood is acclimated before it goes down, and moisture in the subfloor and crawlspace is checked first. Luxury vinyl plank is water-resistant, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, basements and entryways.

Who’s on your project

  • Aleks Razumovsky, owner. He personally manages every job.
  • Architect Alan Hess. Our long-time partner handles plans, drawings and permits when a project needs them.
  • Bill Marczewski, P.E., BSM Engineering. Structural engineering when a project needs it, billed separately by BSM Engineering.
  • Fixed pricing. After we see the project and agree on the scope, you get a fixed price with no hidden fees. We warranty our work.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What types of flooring do you install?

Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), tile and carpet.

Is luxury vinyl plank a good choice for Portland homes?

For many rooms, yes. LVP is water-resistant, so it works well in kitchens, bathrooms, basements and entryways that see wet shoes and rain.

Can hardwood floors handle Portland’s damp climate?

Yes, when the wood is acclimated before installation and moisture in the subfloor and crawlspace is checked first.

How much does floor installation cost in the Portland area?

It depends on the size of the job, the site and the materials you choose. After we see the project and agree on the scope, we give you a fixed price with no hidden fees. Call or text (971) 242-4048 to talk it through.

How long does a flooring project take?

Every job is different, so we don’t publish standard timelines. Once we have seen the site and agreed on the scope, we give you a schedule for your project.

Do you take commercial projects?

We’re mostly residential, with some light commercial. Most of our projects are homes, additions and ADUs in the Portland area.
